I am happy to share with you my favorites in “best view in town” category. Let me clarify that it’s all about the views, not the quality of the food and still all listed restaurants are personally tested and I must say they all have some nice suggestions in their menus and deserve your attention.
Let’s start with the leader in the category. Its name speaks for itself – The View. I can describe it with only one word – breathtaking. You can see whole Sofia from up there until you enjoy your cocktail. The prices are a bit higher than normal but considering the location it’s worth it. I liked a lot the pizza and the salads too. Like most of the restaurants in town this is offering a lunch menu too, so you have the option to skip the high priced a la carte menu.
The address is 89B Vitosha Blvd., 24th Floor, Millennium Center
A little bit different type of view offers La Cattedrale – wonderful panorama towards one of the most famous landmarks in town – the Saint Alexander Nevski Cathedral. I don’t know if there is anywhere in Europe a restaurant located at such proximity to a landmark, offering so low priced food and drinks. The ratio quality/price is the best there. If you ask me, the pizza there is one of the most delicious in the city. This is a totally worth-visit place.
The Address is Oborishte str. 1A
Restaurant Victoria Ring Mall – incredible landscape overlooking Vitosha mountain. Actually all of the restaurants and cafes in this mall offer the same panorama but I personally prefer Victoria because of its diverse menu. That’s why I always choose it when I go there.
The Address is Okolovrasten pat blvd. 214
Soho café and Spagetti kitchen in Bulgaria mall – both offering wonderful view overlooking Vitosha mountain. Personally I prefer Soho café because I think the food is better there. Spacious balcony, great view and tasty food – bring it on!
The address is 69, Bulgaria blvd.
Largo is a place offering wonderful view overlooking the heart of the city. Located in the very center, you can enjoy the architecture of the most significant buildings in town – the Ministry Council, the National Assembly, Balkan hotel, the central department store – TZUM. The food is good and considering the location I think the prices are more than ok.
The address is 2, Knyaginya Maria Luiza blvd.
I promise i will make a list of bars with best views soon.
Stay tuned!
